Lot 5: * FERM Living Uta Piece is a masterclass in modern functional art

FERM Living Uta Piece is a masterclass in modern functional art, drawing inspiration from the bold, geometric language of Brutalist architecture. Crafted from 100% FSC™-certified solid pinewood with a rich, dark oiled finish, this piece (W: 40 x H: 70 x D: 39 cm) challenges traditional furniture forms with its intriguing, asymmetric silhouette. Its design features a striking vertical backboard, a sturdy horizontal seat, and a singular cylindrical support leg, creating a profile that shifts and evolves depending on the viewing angle. Exceptionally versatile, the Uta functions effortlessly as a sculptural stool, a minimalist side table, or a unique pedestal for art and plants. The natural grain of the sustainable pine provides an organic warmth that perfectly balances its severe, architectural lines, making it a sophisticated “ready-to-style” accent for any refined contemporary interior.
