Our business
Pro Auction Limited is a UK auctioneer and asset valuer. We value, market and sell commercial assets — principally furniture, fixtures and equipment, catering and food-processing machinery, and plant — on behalf of owners, developers, project managers, insolvency practitioners and corporate recovery specialists. We operate across the United Kingdom and act on assets internationally.
Our supply chains
Our supply chains are short. They consist principally of the goods we are instructed to sell and the services we buy to sell them: transport and haulage, plant hire, security, cleaning and site labour, IT and marketing services, and professional advisers.
The areas we regard as carrying the greatest inherent risk are site labour and clearance, transport and haulage, and any activity where work is subcontracted at short notice to meet a deadline.
Our position
We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains. We expect the same of everyone we work with.
What we do about it
- We use known and established contractors for site labour, clearance and haulage in preference to unvetted labour engaged at short notice.
- We expect suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to be able to demonstrate it on request.
- We check the right to work of people we employ.
- We treat a supplier’s refusal to engage with these questions as a reason to review the relationship.
Raising a concern
Anyone — employee, contractor, client or member of the public — who suspects that slavery or human trafficking may be occurring in connection with our business or supply chains should contact us. Concerns raised in good faith will be taken seriously and investigated, and no one will suffer detriment for raising one.
Review
This statement is reviewed annually and updated where our business, our supply chains or our assessment of risk changes.
