Louis XV Style Secrétaire à Abattant Dite ‘Malmaison’ A charming Louis XV style upright secrétaire in the romantic Malmaison manner, designed for refined domestic interiors. Hand carved in solid cherrywood and finished in a light painted lacquer with a subtle distressed patina, the piece features an upper fall front desk that opens to a leather lined writing surface and a meticulously arranged tabernacle interior of small drawers, vertical compartments and a central coffret. The lower section comprises a pair of panelled cabinet doors for additional storage, all raised on short, gently curved legs.
