Lot 930: * Desk The bespoke desk for Sea Containers London

Desk The bespoke desk for Sea Containers London, model FG1029704, was designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio to reflect the hotel’s industrial and nautical heritage. Measuring 135 x 65 x 76 cm, the workstation is crafted from black wood and features a streamlined single drawer for functional storage. Its distinctive silhouette is defined by angled legs and rounded edges, a design language reminiscent of Dixon’s Slab Desk but custom-engineered for the hotel’s “ship cabin” guest rooms. These desks were manufactured by specialised partners such as Decca to ensure they met the high-durability standards required for the hotel’s 359 rooms. (SC6)
