Dining Occasional Table and 4 x VIta Organic Chairs The Table Designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio for Sea Containers London, this dining table reflects the hotel’s industrial and nautical heritage. As one of the project’s signature pieces, it features a 130cm diameter tempered glass top set upon a wooden tripod base. The design incorporates a unique adjustable height mechanism modelled after Dixon’s signature Screw Table, an industrial-inspired piece that utilises a threaded steel bolt to allow the top to be spun to the desired level. The Chairs Vitra Organic Chair Designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen for the 1940 MoMA “Organic Design in Home Furnishings” competition, the Vitra Organic Chair is a pioneering masterpiece of mid-century design defined by its sculptural, biomorphically shaped seat shell. Though its revolutionary curves were technically too advanced for mass production at the time of its debut, the chair eventually entered series production to become an icon of ergonomic comfort. This specific configuration features a laminated shell padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in Tonus—a highly elastic wool fabric that perfectly contours to the chair’s complex geometry—supported by solid black ash legs. Measuring 72.5cm in width and 82.5cm in height, the chair remains a definitive example of “organic” modernism, blending a striking silhouette with a functional, inviting seat. (SC2)
