Lot 914j: * Large round coffee table for Sea Containers London was designed by Tom Dixon's Design Research

Large round coffee table for Sea Containers London was designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio to evoke the elegance of a 1920s transatlantic cruise liner. Measuring 90 x 47cm, this standout metallic piece features a black-lacquered circular base and a highly reflective mirrored-glass top. These bespoke tables were created specifically for the hotel’s 359 guest rooms to complement its rich colour palettes and provide a nautical yet contemporary aesthetic. While Dixon’s studio led the creative direction, the hotel’s custom furniture was realised through a network of specialised manufacturing partners, with Tom Dixon, Decca, and Twentytwentyone identified as the primary furniture suppliers for the project.
