A finely carved side chair in the Louis XVI revival style, featuring a shaped wooden frame with floral cresting and fluted stiles, upholstered in deep blue velvet to seat and back. The backrest is rectangular with softened corners and bordered in decorative nailhead trim, while the seat is generously padded and framed by a moulded serpentine rail. Raised on turned and fluted front legs with rosette capitals, the chair displays elegant proportions and restrained ornamentation typical of late 19th to early 20th century Continental craftsmanship.
